Mrs. Beatrice Brazzell was born June 10, 1916 to Sam and Evie (Holland) McElhine in Dickson County, Tennessee. She passed away October 2, 2011 at her residence in Burns at the age of 95. Survivors include: her husband of 77 years George Brazzell; daughters Berniece Jackson of Burns, Linda Clifton of Dickson, and Barbara Hood (Phillip) of Franklin; brothers Clarence, Ray (Louise), Edward (Gladys) McElhiney all of Dickson, and Les McElhiney (Evelyn) of Gleason; sister Hazel Vetters (Laymon) of Dickson; ten grandchildren, David, Darren, and Stevie Jackson, Tammy Bone, Angie Locke, James Clifton, Jonathan Hood, Leslea Gaines, James Chandler, and Jeff Chandler; seventeen great grandchildren and nineteen great great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Mrs. Brazzell is preceded in death by sisters Tennie Brazzell, Mamie Harrell, and Gracie Stewart, daughters Shirley Chandler and Marie Brazzell, and great granddaughter Crissy Dozier. Mrs. Brazzell worked as a seamstress at Red Kap Manufacturing Company. Visitation will be Monday, October 3rd, from 3-8 pm and Tuesday, October 4th, from 10 am until time of service. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 4th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 2 pm with Rev. Ronnie Johnson and Dr. Tom Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemtery of Dickson. Arrangements are by the Dickson Funeral Home.
