Allen Vinson Hollis

Mr. Allen Vinson Hollis was born December 29, 1947 to Alton Hollis and Bessie Lou (Fielder) Hollis (Thompson) in Dickson County, Tennessee. He passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. Survivors include: his first wife and mother of their children Sandra Harvey of Dickson; son Carl Hollis (Twylia) of Dickson; daughter Faydra Hollis (Chris Baird) of Dickson; grandchildren Brendan Levitt and Alex Hollis; half-brother Tommy Thompson; and half-sister Betty Lois Thompson. Mr. Hollis is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Monday, August 29th, from 4-8 pm and Tuesday, August 30th, from 12 noon until time of service. Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 30th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 2 pm with Bro. Danny Tidwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery of Dickson. Mr. Hollis proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
