Ralph William Bartholomew, Sr.

Mr. Ralph William Bartholomew was born June 8, 1940 in Norfolk, Virginia. He passed away April 21, 2011 at the Williamson Medical Center in Franklin. He is survived by: two sons, Ronald Bartholomew and his wife Susan of Foley, Alabama and Ralph William Bartholomew, Jr. of Texas; daughter Rachael Harrison and her husband Jeremy of Knoxville; brother Roy Bartholomew of Norfolk, Virginia, and four grandchildren. Mr. Bartholomew proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for twenty-three years. He will be buried with honors at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on McCrory Lane in Pegram. Services will be on Monday, May 2nd, beginning at 10 am from the Rotunda at the Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Bartholomew was a recipient of the following awards: Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Small Arms Expert Markmanship, Army Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air force Longevity Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Service Star, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any Veterans support groups or the Dickson County Humane Association.
