William Walker Betty

Mr. William Walker Betty was born August 15, 1925 to William Elery Betty and Mattie (Bowen) Betty in Dickson County, Tennessee. He passed away at his residence on March 19, 2011. Survivors include wife, Mildred Betty; son, Wayne Betty; two sisters, Ann McClellan and Ruby Reisland; two grandchildren, Eric Betty (Cheryl) and Jeffery Betty. Besides his parents, Mr. Betty is preceded in death by his brother, L.D. Betty, and his sister, Opal Eichert. Visitation will be Sunday, March 20th, from 3-8 pm and Monday, March 21st, from 10 am until time of service. Funeral service will be Monday, March 21st, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Jerrell Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in the Fielder Cemetery on Piney Road. Mr. Betty proudly served his country in the United States Army 1943-46. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
