Mrs. Margaret Ruth (Stinson) England was born February 11, 1935 to Albert Washington "Wash" Stinson, Sr. and Maude Jane (Myatt) Stinson in Hickman County, Tennessee. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Alive Hospice in Nashville on March 1, 2011. She is survived by: three sons, Danny Lee England and his wife Ann of Dickson, Robert Dickson England and his wife Debbie of Brentwood, and David Harbert England and his wife Liza of Dickson; ten grandchildren, Jerry Lee Baker, Teresa Dawn Baker Ahlheit, Jamison Conner England, Hope Marie England, Jacob Tanner Redden, Sarah Haylee England, Haley Jennette Redden, Mathew Robert England, Ryan William England, and Spencer David Harbert England; two great grandchildren, Geoffrey Peyton Ahlheit and Tori Katelyn Ahlheit. Besides her parents, Mrs. England is preceded in death by her husband, Harris "Hugo" Dickson England, and her seven older siblings: Robert Lee Stinson, Mary Lola Stinson Thompson, Imo Rachel Stinson Gentry, Albert Washington "AW" Stinson, Jr., Walker Kelly Stinson, Ammon Hulan Stinson, and Edwina Corrine Stinson Beard. She was a community activist and involved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was retired from the Tennessee Department of Employment Security. Visitation will be Friday, March 4th, at the Dickson Funeral Home from 2-8 pm. on Saturday, March 5th, visitation will be at the First Baptist Church of Dickson from 9 am until time of service. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 5th, from the sanctuary of Dickson's First Baptist Church beginning at 11 am with Dr. Jim Chatham and Dr. Don McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any of the preferred organizations: First Baptist Church building fund, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Alive Hospice, or the American Cancer Society.
