Y.J. Derry

Mr. Y.J. Derry was born June 23, 1943 to Robert L. Derry and Lola (Finchum) Derry in Cocke County, Tennessee. He passed away January 21, 2011 at his residence in Dickson. Survivors include: his wife, Elizabeth Faye Derry; son Terry Wayne "Hub" Derry and his wife Tabitha; daughters Sheila Nolen and her husband Terry and Jamie Wall and her husband Jimmy; brother Ernest Derry; sisters Marilyn Salters, Janice Burton, and Brances Wampler; six grandchildren, Brendon and Mackenzie Derry, Ashley and Stephanie Nolen, and Brett and Kaylee Wall. Besides his parents, Mr. Derry is preceded in death by his son Bobby Wade Derry, brother Charles Derry, sisters Alene and Christine Taylor, and infant grandson Austin Wayne Derry. Visitation will be Sunday, January 23rd, from 2-8 pm and Monday, January 24th, from 10 am until time of service. Funeral service will be Monday, January 24th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 2 pm with Bro. Sam Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Charlotte Cemetery.
