Josephine Mason

Mrs. Josephine Mason was born May 25, 1940 to Frank and Levvie Freeman in Oglethorpe, Georgia. She passed away October 26, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville following a brief illness. Survivors include: two sons, Gary Mason (Kelly) of Carrollton, Georgia and Michael Mason (Sally) of Fairview; daughter Debra Thornton (Phillip) of Albertville, Alabama; sister Deenie Jordan of Mumford, TN; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Mason is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Mason and sisters Carolyn Tench and Sally Norton. At the request of the family, the body will be cremated. Memorial services will be Monday, November 1, 201 beginning at 2 pm with Bro. Allen Withers officiating. Burial will be in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram. Mrs. Mason served in the United States Air Force 1958-59.
