James Willard Burgess

Mr. James Willard Burgess was born February 2, 1935 to Charlie Washington Burgess and Nannie Rebecca Burgess in Dickson County, Tennessee. He passed away October 12, 2010 at his residence in Erin, Tennessee. Survivors include: wife, Hazel Burgess; son, Bobby Burgess of Dickson; daughter, Rhonda Wilkes (Jack) of Dickson; step-children, Ray Warfield, Charles Vaughn, and Carlatta Torres; sisters, Mary Buttrey and Betty Williams (Jimmy); grandchildren, Cole Haddock, Heather Ramsey, and Jacklyn Wilkes; great grandchildren, Ethan, Lucas, and Olivia Ramsey; step grandchildren, Derrick Vaughn, Benjamin Torres, and Brooke Torres. Besides his parents, Mr. Burgess is preceded in death by his sister Catherine Hayes and brothers Ward, Burgess, Paul, Billy, and Joe Burgess. Visitation will be Thursday, October 14th, from 1-8 pm and Friday, October 15th, from 10 am until time of service. Funeral services will be Friday, October 15th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 1 pm with Bro. Tommy Christian officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Houston County.
