Earl Craig

Bro. Earl Craig was born January 19, 1924 to John and Bertha (Higgins) Craig in Allegre, Kentucky. He passed away September 28, 2010 at the NHC HealthCare Center in Dickson. Bro. Craig was the Pastor of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church which he organized in September 1957. He received his diploma from Clifty High School in Clifty, Kentucky. He volunteered for the U.S. Army in World War II and was a decorated Infantry man, serving with the 81st Wildcat Division. He was given the honor of being named a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by: two sons, Donnie Craig (Debbie) and Morrison Craig Wilkins (Patricia); two daughters, Linda Craig Durham (Robert) and Ann Craig Schmittou; brother J.R. Craig; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren; and three step-children, Barbara Pemberton, Wanda Barclay, and Retta Curneal. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 29th, from 4-8 pm and Thursday, September 30th from 10 am until 1:30 pm. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 30th, at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church beginning at 2 pm with Rev. James Anderson and Rev. Donnie Craig officiating. Burial will follow in the Fielder Cemetery.
