Betty Rachel Cooper

Mrs. Betty Rachel Cooper was born July 26, 1935 to Emerson and Mannye (Gossett) Yates in Dickson County, Tennessee. She passed away June 3, 2010 at the Alive Hospice Residence Center in Nashville. She was 74 years of age. She is survived by two sons, Daniel H. Hurt (Virginia) of Madison and John Hardy Hurt of Sarasota, FL; daughter, Judy Hurt Petitt (David) of Charlotte; brother, Howard Yates (Linda) of Ashland City; two sisters, Patricia Garrison and Clara Click; and six grandchildren, Clay Petitt, Daniel Henry, Brittiney Hurt, Brian Lee Hurt, Shannon Hurt, and John Lewis Hurt. Besides her parents, Mrs. Cooper is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cooper, and brother, Kenneth Yates. Visitation will be Sunday, June 6th, from 12 Noon until 8 PM and Monday, June 7th, from 9 AM until time of service. Funeral Service will be Monday, June 7th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 11 AM with Pastor Mark Deakins officiating. Burial will follow in the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Pegram.
