Jimmy Dean Gibbs

Mr. Jimmy Dean Gibbs, age 69 of Charlotte, passed away September 17, 2009 at the Cheatham Medical Center in Ashland City. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Bertha Louise Gibbs, son Larry Dean (Kenna) Gibbs, daughter Debbie (Keith) Clark, brother William Edward (Virginia) Gibbs, and sister Joyce Elain (Dennis) Thweatt. Five grandchildren include Crystal Tidwell, AManda Olten, Mandy Barnes, Jacqueline Clark, and Regina Wright. Eight great grandchildren include Nathan Tidwell, Joey Tidwell, Alinea Barnes, Ashton Tippett, Gabriel Tippett, Jacob Olten, Devin Olten, and Callie Wright. Visitation will begin on Friday, September 18th, at the Dickson Chapel from 2-8 PM and continue on Saturday, September 19th, from 9 AM until time of service. Funeral services will be from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 11 AM with Bro. A.C. Kephart officiating. Burial will follow in the Slayden Cemetery. Mr. Gibbs served his country in the United States Army and Army National Guard from 1963-83.
