Doye Josephine Owens

Mrs. Doye Josephine Owens was born October 7, 1915 to James Benjamin and Maudie Jane (Kimbro) Myatt in Dickson County, Tennessee. She passed away September 10, 2009 at her residence in Dickson. Besides her parents, Mrs. Owens is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Owens; her brother, Floyd Myatt; and her grandson, James Carlton Owens, Jr. She is survived by: Sons - Carlton (Pam) Owens Joe Ray (Sarah) Owens. Daughter - Janet Kay (Kenny) Johnson Sister- Christine (Melvin) Gentry Sixteen Grandchildren, Twenty-nine Great Grandchildren, and Fourteen Great-Great Grandchildren. She was a member of the West Fifth Street Baptist Church. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons: Christopher Cunningham, Jacob Cunningham, Joe Owens, Jr., Jack Owens, Michael Pendergrass, Jason Lewis, Paul Owens, and Daryl Owens.
