Mrs. Margaret Lea King Furlought, age 89 of White Bluff, passed away at her residence on Saturday, August 22, 2009. Mrs. Furlough was born in Williamson County but lived the last 40 years in White Bluff. She was a member of the White Bluff Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She is survived by: sons; Joe (Darlene) Furlough of White Bluff, Ray Furlough of Perry County, Walter Furlough of Cheatham County, and Kenny Furlough of McEwen; daughters, Janice (Bill) Gardner of Cumberland Furnace, Faye Furlough of Lafayette, and Debby Branam of Murray, Kentucky. There are 29 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Aaron Thomas Furlough, parents Clint and Nanny King, son Thomas Furlough, grandson James Solls, granddaughter Nancy Solls, and several brothers and sisters. She will be greatly missed by family and friends that were close to her and really knew her loving heart. However, none were more close to her than her son, Joe, who cared for her in her declining years and was with her to the end because he said "You're not only my mom but my closest friend". Her daughter, Debby, stood by her side during the illness of Margaret's husband and her father Aaron. Visitation with the family will be at the White Bluff Chapel on Sunday, August 23rd, from 4-8 PM, again on Monday, August 24th, from 12 Noon until 8 PM, and on Tuesday, August 25th, from 9 AM until time of service. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 25th, from the White Bluff Chapel beginning at 11 AM with Bro. David Peeler officiating. Burial will follow in Dickson's Union Cemetery.
